This one just hits me, just might be my favorite photo taken this year. This girl IS pretty special and is actually my first client to photo completely for 2 full years, from newborn to present.

This family lives in Oregon but they snag a family photo session with me whenever they are in town! They are a fun energetic family and asked for something eccentric and different this year. So we broke out the hoola hoops and an awesome time

I just LOVE this one

I have know Billie for years, we even danced at the same ballet studio waaaay back. We connected over christmas for a family photo session and she had decided then that she would like to do maternity and newborn photos with me as well. Her boys are SOOOOO extremely adorable and well behaved, I love working with them and cannot wait to meet baby sister Kaylee! It could be any time now so be on the lookout for her here on the blog. This stuff warm my soul to deepest parts. I took these snaps of my kiddo’s today in the rain. Yes. I let my kids play in the rain and am proud of it I have always been one of those moms that believes kids need to be kids, I let them play in the rain, I let them play in the mud, I let them have fun.

On days like this when its cold and wet outside and most kids are peering out their window wishing to be outside, my kids ARE outside. It is just what we do, and when I get pictures like this and I see those HUGE smiles and sparkling eyes…it just make me happy. I don’t know how I am so blessed to have such beautiful souls as my children, but I do.

I am beyond thankful for this rainy day and i’m happy that I ran and grabbed my camera

This cutie patootie just rocked my world. I absolutely adore her hair. I hope she doesn’t hate those curls when she is older because they are amazing.
I was quite impressed with Alayna, at four years old she listened very well. This age can sometimes be challenging but we hit off -I truly felt the magic when working with her, and still feel it when I look back at the images we created together

Isn’t this dress to die for! I purchased this dress to add to client wardrobe and have been waiting to use it! I knew I would be working with Alayna soon and knew it was meant for her when I saw it! The colors, the details, the style – I LOVE it all.

I truly believe that children have something special, I just see it in their eyes. Maybe that’s one reason I love being a children’s photographer -I just see it in them and know when capture it. It all makes sense to me but in some strange way it is indescribable

Meet Emma, a real life angel

One of my most favorite things in the whole entire world is having the privelage to watch a little one grow from newborn into a beautiful young girl!
It is even more wonderful when it involves an image that I hold dear to my heart, last year I took this photo of makennah as a newborn. I was just
beginning to experiment with ‘hanging babies’. It is now a trademark that I am proud of and this image mark a stepping stone in my career as a photographer.

Belle’s mommy wins the prize today! She has been so patient waiting for me to post these pictures. The night my daughter’s forehead got cut (scroll to previous post) was the night I was going to blog her pictures.

Well, this little gem was a ROCK STAR! The first hour of her session I wasn’t sure I was going to get anything spectacular. She didn’t want to sleep but she didn’t want to be awake either, this is extremely hard to work with. You get all sorts of pictures with half opened eyes. After that first hour, Belle, fell DEEP asleep and I was able to work her little body into some amazing positions! She was AMAZING. Here you go Marina, contrats on your second little angel.
