The first of the beach sessions!
I was so so happy when I saw this family walking across the sand to meet me. I adored the jewel tones they chose for the family and I STILL just can’t get over the amazingness (uh-yah that’s word!) of their natural blond curly hair!
These little ones worked my camera and made a great start to a week full of beach sessions!
This family lives in Oregon but they snag a family photo session with me whenever they are in town! They are a fun energetic family and asked for something eccentric and different this year. So we broke out the hoola hoops and an awesome time

On this particular shoot, dad was a little hesitant about pictures (Something that is all too common with the dads). Dad of course thinks he never looks good in pictures so we worked extra hard to get some nice shots of him =-)
While going through this session I came to the conclusion that it is NOT that the dad looks bad in his photos, it is that the shots that dad looks good you have someone else blinking or a little one is squirming around! So I had this shot of the Loblein family and indeed, had one where dad looked GQ but mom was blinking, had one where mom and kiddo’s looked great but dad was looking sleepy eyed. So what is one to do???
