Look what the stork dropped in

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Austin and having the most amazing session with him. I drove up to Roseville for his newborn session and he was just a perfect little guy to work with.

When I say that I have been waiting for Rebecca’s maternity session for a long time that would be an understatement She booked her maternity and newborn session waaaay back sometime last year, I can’t even remember when. I DO remember that with Rebecca’s first email I felt a connection with her, I just knew she was an amazing person. She has an amazing story and I had the pleasure of hearing more of it last week when we met up in downtown Sacramento. We started her session at her home in the late morning to catch her studio maternity portraits, we then had a yummy delicious lunch together at a cafe and headed into old sacramento to finish up with something fun and urban.

Can’t wait to meet little Evan, he should be here any day now!

I literally hoisted Rebecca up on the back of this train, I kept telling her it would be worth although I’m not sure she believed me haha! I would say that YES it was worth it! I adore this shot!

I have know Billie for years, we even danced at the same ballet studio waaaay back. We connected over christmas for a family photo session and she had decided then that she would like to do maternity and newborn photos with me as well. Her boys are SOOOOO extremely adorable and well behaved, I love working with them and cannot wait to meet baby sister Kaylee! It could be any time now so be on the lookout for her here on the blog. Until then, here she is in the belly…

This stuff warm my soul to deepest parts. I took these snaps of my kiddo’s today in the rain. Yes. I let my kids play in the rain and am proud of it I have always been one of those moms that believes kids need to be kids, I let them play in the rain, I let them play in the mud, I let them have fun.

On days like this when its cold and wet outside and most kids are peering out their window wishing to be outside, my kids ARE outside. It is just what we do, and when I get pictures like this and I see those HUGE smiles and sparkling eyes…it just make me happy. I don’t know how I am so blessed to have such beautiful souls as my children, but I do.

I am beyond thankful for this rainy day and i’m happy that I ran and grabbed my camera
